Often times, residential property landlords do not have the skills or knowledge to manage their properties. The most common type of owner of a residential property that is leased out, is someone who excels at business and identifying properties that can provide excellent return on investment (ROI). However, these owners do not tend to be knowledgeable of the needs of tenants, or how to repair issues that may arise. Their business acumen gives them the understanding that it is more financially beneficial for them to hire a qualified residential property manager than to take on the tasks of a property manager on their own. A good residential property manager understand this, and an excellent one knows how to effectively serve the owner and the tenants.
